ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS

Indian Leather Technologists’ Association (ILTA), formerly known as “Leather Technologists’ Association (India)”, was formed in the year 1950 under Presidentship of Prof. B. M. Das. It was incorporated in the year 1957 under the Companies Act. During the last seventy-five years ILTA has been working towards weaving all segments of people sincerely devoted to the cause of Leather and allied Technology as well as the whole leather fraternity all over the country. ILTA represents India in the ‘International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS)’, the foremost body of its kind in the world and has been doing so ever since 1956. More

Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI) was established in 1948 under the auspices of the Council of Scientific Industrial Research (CSIR) in Chennai and under first directorship of Prof. B. M. Das, to cater to the needs of the Indian leather sector. The institute since its establishment has paved the way for the move of Indian leather sector from a predominant raw material exporter to that of finished leather and leather products. Through strategic interventions with cleaner leather processing technologies, bio-based leather processing methods, composite based leather products, fashion forecasting etc. CLRI today strives to enable the global leather sector meet its challenges and seek opportunities in global leather trade. 

ILTA and CLRI in association with the tanner bodies of the country take pride in being part of a massive effort in establishing Asia’s largest leather complex in Kolkata, which is complete with all environmental safeguards. In the year 1999 ILTA and CLRI conducted the most successful IULTCS Congress in Chennai for the first time in an Asian country and VIII Asia International Conference of Leather Science & Technology (AICLST) in Kolkata in 2010 during the Diamond Jubilee Year of ILTA and IULTCS Congress again at Chennai in 2017.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

This time ILTA with the support of IULTCS’s Asian Members China, Japan, Taiwan, Turkiye, New Zealand along with UNIDO and others has again been selected as the host of 13th AICLST which will be held at Kolkata, India as a part of its yearlong PLATINUM JUBILEE CELEBRATION during 6th – 8th March, 2026.

THEME OF THE CONFERENCE

As per the Mission, Vision and Objectives of ILTA, the theme for this conference would be –

ABOUT THE VENUE

Kolkata, popularly known as ‘City of Joy’ is located in Eastern India at 22°33′N, 88°20’E, 22.55°N, 88.333°E in the Ganges Delta at an elevation ranging between 1.5 m (5 ft) to 9 m (30 ft). It is spread linearly along the banks of the River Hooghly in a north-south direction. Kolkata has a tropical wet and dry climate. The annual mean temperature is 26.8° C (80.2 °F).

During the British Rule the East India Company established a strong foundation of Industrial growth based on Kolkata. The Premier and oldest Institute on Leather Technology was established at Kolkata in the year 1919 and presently this institute is known as Govt. College of Engineering & Leather Technology which has completed its Centenary Year in 2019.

Calcutta Leather Complex is the Asia’s Largest Leather Complex which is complete with all environmental safe guards. Kolkata scores high in the export sector of Leather Industries in Asia. The head office of ILTA is also situated in this metro city of India. Here the prospect of enormous growth in Leather Industry makes Kolkata an important land mark in Leather World.

It has long been known for its literary, artistic and revolutionary heritage. Kolkatans tend to have a special appreciation for art and literature, its tradition of welcoming new talent has made it a “city of exceptional creative energy”. For these reasons, Kolkata has often been dubbed as the “Cultural Capital of India“.

  1. Introduction

Welcome to the 13th Asian International Conference of Leather, Science & Technology (AICLST), organized by the Indian Leather Technologists’ Association (ILTA).   

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation, registration, and payments made for 13th AICLST through the official conference website and its associated payment gateway powered by Axis Bank and Bank of Baroda.

By registering or making any payment for 13th AICLST, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms.

  1. Eligibility
  • Participation in 13th AICLST is open to all professionals, academicians, researchers, students, and industry representatives related to leather and allied fields.
  • Registrants must ensure all information provided during registration is accurate and complete.
  • ILTA reserves the right to cancel or refuse registration if false or misleading information is detected.
  1. Registration & Payment
  • Registration is considered complete only after successful payment confirmation via the Axis Bank/ Bank of Baroda Payment Gateway.
  • Both domestic (Indian Rupee) and international (foreign currency) payments are accepted through secure online modes.
  • Payment options include credit/debit cards, net banking, UPI (for Indian users), and international cards (Visa, MasterCard, etc.).
  • All registration fees, categories, and deadlines are listed on the official 13th AICLST registration page.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring correct fee selection and timely payment before the deadline.
  1. Confirmation of Registration
  • Upon successful payment, participants will receive an automated confirmation email and receipt from ILTA/13th AICLST.
  • In case of payment failure or delay, please contact aiclstkol26@iltaonleather.org or admin@iltaonleather.org with transaction details.
  1. Refund & Cancellation Policy
  • No refunds will be issued once the registration and payment have been successfully completed, under any circumstances, including cancellation, withdrawal, or inability to attend the conference for any reason.
  • In case of a refund request arising from a double payment, please refer to Point No. 10 below.
  1. Submissions, Presentations & Abstracts
  • Accepted abstracts and papers submitted for 13th AICLST become part of the conference proceedings.
  • ILTA reserves the right to publish, reproduce, or distribute abstracts or presentations submitted for the conference for educational and promotional purposes, with due credit to authors.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring that submitted content is original and does not infringe upon any third-party copyrights.
  1. Use of the Payment Gateway
  • The Axis Bank/ Bank of Baroda Payment Gateway used on the 13th AICLST website is a secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment system.
  • ILTA does not store or retain any sensitive payment details such as card numbers, CVV, or banking credentials.
  • Participants are responsible for using the payment gateway on secure networks and verifying the legitimacy of the transaction page before entering details.
  • ILTA shall not be held responsible for any unauthorized transactions, misuse, or technical failures beyond its control.
  1. Data Privacy & Security
  • Personal information collected during registration is used solely for conference administration, communication, and record-keeping.
  • ILTA will not sell or disclose participant data to third parties except for legitimate operational purposes (e.g., banking, technical support, certificate issuance).

  1. Re-scheduling or Cancellation of the Event
  • ILTA reserves the right to modify the conference schedule, format (e.g., physical/virtual), speakers, or venue due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.
  • In such cases, participants will be notified via email and the website.
  • Should the conference be cancelled in its entirety, any decisions regarding refunds, rescheduling, or compensation will rest solely with the 13th AICLST Organizing Committee, and their decision shall be final and binding.
10. Duplicate or Erroneous Payments
  • If a participant accidentally makes duplicate payments for the same registration, ILTA may, after verification, process a refund for the duplicate transaction amount only, subject to deduction of applicable bank and gateway processing charges.
  • Any such requests must be made within 7 days of the transaction date by sending the transaction details and proof of payment to aiclstkol26@iltaonleather.org/admin@iltaonleather.org
  1. Limitation of Liability
  • ILTA and the organizers of the Conference shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including travel, accommodation, or other personal expenses, arising out of participation or non-participation in 13th AICLST.
  • All delegates participate at their own risk and are advised to obtain adequate insurance coverage, especially for international travel.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • All materials shared during 13th AICLST, including but not limited to presentations, research papers, abstracts, recordings, photographs, and conference documents, are protected under applicable Intellectual Property and Copyright Laws. Full rights are reserved by ILTA and the respective authors or speakers.
  • Participants are strictly prohibited from reproducing, recording, distributing, or transmitting any conference materials in any form—digital, print, or otherwise—without the prior written consent of ILTA or the 13th AICLST Organizing Committee.
  • Authors of papers submitted to and accepted for presentation at 13th AICLST shall not publish, upload, or disseminate their papers in any form—online or offline, before or after the conference—as the publishing rights are exclusively reserved by ILTA. These papers will be officially published by ILTA after the conference through its authorized proceedings or journal.

Any violation of the above intellectual property conditions may result in the withdrawal of conference participation, cancellation of presentation rights, and potential legal action under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

  1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
  • Any disputes arising from participation or payment shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts at Kolkata, West Bengal.

Payment Disclaimer

All domestic and international payments related to 13th AICLST (Asian International Conference of Leather, Science & Technology) shall be made only through the official payment options provided under the 13th AICLST → Payment menu on the official ILTA website         
Authorized payment methods include:

  • Online Payment Gateway Portal (Axis Bank) for domestic and international transactions.
  • Direct Bank Transfer (NEFT/RTGS) to the designated ILTA bank accounts.
  • UPI or QR Scanner payments linked to the official ILTA accounts only.

Participants are strictly advised to:

  • Use only the payment links, QR codes, or account details displayed on the official 13th AICLST website.
  • Avoid making payments to any third-party accounts, personal numbers, or unofficial links claiming to represent ILTA or 13th
  • Retain transaction receipts or confirmation messages as proof of payment for registration verification.

ILTA shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, unauthorized transaction, or fraud resulting from payments made through unofficial channels, third-party intermediaries, or unverifiable sources.

All verified payments will receive official confirmation and receipt from the ILTA/13th AICLST Secretariat via email. ILTA reserves the right to update or modify payment instructions as necessary. 1. General Policy

The Asian International Conference of Leather, Science & Technology (13th AICLST) is organized by the Indian Leather Technologists’ Association (ILTA).  

By registering and submitting payment for participation, delegates acknowledge and accept the following Refund and Cancellation Policy in full.

2. No Refund and No Cancellation Policy

  • Once registration and payment are successfully completed through the Payment Gateway no request for cancellation, refund, or transfer will be entertained under any circumstances.
  • This policy applies equally to all categories of participants — including domestic (Indian) and international delegates, students, presenters, exhibitors, and sponsors.
  • Fees once paid are non-refundable and non-transferable, irrespective of:
    • Participant’s inability to attend the conference (for any personal, professional, or health-related reason),
    • Visa denial, travel restrictions, or delays,
    • Technical issues during online registration,
    • Change of mind or personal scheduling conflicts,
    • Failure to submit abstracts or papers after payment, or
    • Changes in the conference format (physical/virtual/hybrid).

3. Substitution Policy (Optional Attendance Transfer)

  • In exceptional circumstances, if a registered delegate is unable to attend, ILTA may, at its sole discretion, allow substitution of the participant with another eligible person from the same organization or institution, provided that:
    • A written request is sent to 13th AICLST@iltaonleather.org before the registration deadline.
    • The substitute meets all participation criteria.
  • ILTA reserves the right to approve or deny such requests. No substitution will be permitted after the registration closure date.

4. Duplicate or Erroneous Payments

  • If a participant accidentally makes duplicate payments for the same registration, ILTA may, after verification, process a refund for the duplicate transaction amount only, subject to deduction of applicable bank and gateway processing charges.
  • Any such requests must be made within 7 days of the transaction date by sending the transaction details and proof of payment to 13th AICLST@iltaonleather.org.

5. Payment Gateway and Transaction Security

  • All payments are processed through the Axis Bank/Bank of Baroda Payment Gateway, which adheres to the PCI-DSS security standards.
  • ILTA does not store or retain any card details or banking information of participants.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring that they use the official payment link hosted on the 13th AICLST website. ILTA shall not be responsible for payments made to unauthorized links or accounts.

6. International Transactions

  • For international delegates, payments made in foreign currencies are subject to applicable conversion rates, banking fees, and international transaction charges.
  • All such charges are non-refundable.
  • In the case of transaction failure, delegates are advised to contact their local bank or card issuer for assistance before reattempting payment.

7. Acknowledgement and Acceptance

By completing the registration and payment process, each participant expressly acknowledges and agrees that:

  • They have read, understood, and accepted the 13th AICLST Refund & Cancellation Policy in full.
  • They waive any right to dispute charges, request chargebacks, or demand refunds for any reason whatsoever.
  • Their participation and payment are made voluntarily and with full awareness of this policy.
